Price Transparency Rule Summary:
The Hospital Price Transparency Rule, in effect since January 1, 2021, requires all U.S. hospitals to post their standard charges for items and services in two ways: a comprehensive, machine-readable file and a consumer-friendly list of at least 300 “shoppable” services. The goal is to help consumers compare prices across hospitals and estimate their out-of-pocket costs.
In accordance with the regulation, Sherman Medical Center has compiled a list of standard charges for all items and services publicly available online in a machine-readable file, and provided a consumer-friendly display of at least 300 shoppable services.
